Materials for 3D printing
Each technology comes with its own family of materials with different properties. Pick a material to see its characteristics and applications.
ABSAcrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) is a common thermoplastic polymer used to make light, rigid objects and as a housing for electrical and electronic assemblies. ABS is a copolymer of styrene polymerised with acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene, so it can be defined as a terpolymer.
HR PA 12HR PA 12 is a high-performance technical polyamide for MJF printing: it balances mechanical strength, rigidity and dimensional accuracy, ideal for robust, durable functional and structural components.
TPUTPU is a flexible, elastic material for MJF and SLS printing, ideal for components that require strength, elasticity and durability: gaskets, dampers, protective parts, footwear and ergonomic parts.
PA12PA12 is a high-performance powder thermoplastic for SLS printing: an excellent balance of mechanical strength, flexibility and dimensional stability, for prototypes and finished products across many industrial sectors.
PA12 GFPA12 GF is a glass-fibre-reinforced PA12 for SLS printing: rigidity and mechanical strength higher than standard PA12, ideal for structural technical components with high load capacity.
TPETPE is an elastic material for SLS printing that combines the convenience of plastic with the softness of rubber: resistant to wear, chemicals and repeated stress, for flexible, ergonomic parts.
ALUFORMALUFORM is a composite of polymer and metal powders for SLS printing: an aluminium-like aesthetic finish and good strength, for light yet robust components and presentation models.
ABS-like – WhiteWhite ABS-like is a photopolymer resin for SLA printing with ABS-like characteristics: good mechanical strength and rigidity, smooth surfaces and precise detail, for functional prototypes and technical components.
ABS-like – ClearClear ABS-like is a photopolymer resin for SLA printing that combines transparency with ABS-like mechanical characteristics: ideal for aesthetic applications and parts requiring a transparent effect without sacrificing solidity.
Rigid Resin – Black / GreyRigid photopolymer resin for high-precision DLP printing: a balance of rigidity, mechanical strength and dimensional stability, with a professional matte finish, for functional components and technical prototypes.
Rigid Resin – Black HTRigid photopolymer resin with high thermal and mechanical resistance for DLP printing: stable at high temperatures, for functional parts and components under thermal stress in automotive, electronics and industry.
Black RubberBlack elastomeric resin for DLP printing: flexibility, impact resistance and good elasticity, ideal for gaskets, damping parts and durable flexible prototypes.
Clear RubberHigh-performance clear elastomeric resin for DLP printing: high elasticity and resistance to deformation, with a smooth finish, for functional prototypes, industrial components and anatomical models.
ULTEMPolyetherimide is a high-performance amorphous engineering polymer introduced in 1982, commercially available under the ULTEM trade name. The stability of its imide bonds gives the material high heat resistance, resistance to deformation and high rigidity, while the bond between the phenyl rings provides the chain flexibility needed for good melt processability. It has good electrical insulation properties that are stable across a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
